In Loving Memory...Grandpa Morrell

The funeral was such a wonderful service. I have never been so moved by a musical number in my life than I was moved when Bret Morrell played How Great Thou Art. It was the most beautiful piece I have ever heard and that is a lot to say because I am ALL about music! I have never seen a veteran's funeral service, it was quite the experience. Grandpa Morrell lived a lot longer than all of us thought. I know that he is happy because he is finally with the love of his life. He had been looking for her for about nine years now, I can't imagine being away from Dave that long.

I saw a lot of faces that I hadn't seen in a very long time. A lady there said something to me the night before, "You have been to too many funerals in your lifetime." It is so true and it made me feel such sorrow for myself. I wondered how exactly she knew that.

You can make money or you can make excuses,
but you can never make both!

Valentine's Day '09

Valentine's Day this year was the best EVER! I have never had such a good Valentine's Day like I did this Valentine's Day! It was all about Dave and Me, no one else. We spent so much quality time together and he was the sweetest! I don't think I will ever forget how wonderful the day was. It just made me love him even more than ever (which I thought was impossible, I already love him so much)!!

My 3 Dogs

My three DOGS! Tommy, Lexi and Dave. It's no wonder they listen to Dave and not me, because he just lets them lay on him like a dog bed or something. I can't believe how much Tommy and Lexi act like brother and sister! Tommy is constantly biting Lexi's ankles trying to get her to play with him. It seems like he doesn't even know that he is just this small thing compared to Lexi. It's very entertaining to watch them two try to jump on each other, or I love it when one just sits on top of the other!
